Matrimony

According to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, humanity “is created in the image and likeness of God who is himself love. Since God created man and woman, their mutual love becomes an image of the absolute and unfailing love with which God loves [humanity].” This is a Sacrament of Vocation along with Holy Orders. Two adults committing to love and serve one another for the rest of their lives is a joyous celebration!

Couples contemplating marriage have to have at least an eight month period between the initial contact with the parish and the actual marriage ceremony. Meetings with the parish priest and participation in the diocesan preparation programs are a must. There is Archdiocesan paperwork and finally planning the liturgy itself. You must speak to one of the priests to book a date.  Please call the rectory for information about scheduling and preparation.
