Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors serve the liturgy in two important ways. Lectors proclaim the Word of the Lord during the first half of the Mass, The Liturgy of the Word. Eucharistic Ministers offer the Body and Blood of Christ during the second half of the Mass, the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Both are essential to the Mass and both convey the presence of Christ.
Those who serve as Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors represent the parish community. When they step up onto the altar, this is a real example of active participation in the liturgy. Many thanks to those who serve in our parish. If you would like to become an active Eucharistic Minister or Lector at Notre Dame, please contact the parish rectory.
